Job description

Position Title: Senior .NET Developer
Location: Des Moines, IA
Engagement Type: Contract
Work Mode: Hybrid
Duration: August 2026 – June 2027 (approx. 11 months)
Interview Type: Web Cam or In Person

Role Overview:
A large public sector IT organization is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to support enterprise application development and data collection/reporting tools. The role focuses on advancing DevOps initiatives, automating pipelines, and delivering secure, high-quality technical solutions. This position requires standard business-hour availability Monday through Friday, with on-site presence strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable DevOps processes for enterprise-level application development and deployment

  • Lead automation, CI/CD, and cloud technology initiatives, including centralizing code repositories

  • Enhance coding practices through automated scanning tools to uphold code quality and security standards

  • Optimize code branching, merging, and release processes for efficient deployments

  • Improve unit and integration test coverage for application reliability

Required Skills & Experience:

  • C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core development (8+ years)

  • Security practices: secure coding, static code analysis, data protection/encryption (8+ years)

  • Azure DevOps, GIT, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, CI/CD (5+ years)

  • TSQL language skills with MS SQL (8+ years)
