Sr. Project Manager
InfoTech Resources is seeking a Project Manager to support a client in the insurance industry located in the Schaumburg area. This role offers a hybrid work model with onsite presence expected several days per week. The client is seeking a collaborative, delivery-oriented Project Manager with experience leading business and technology change initiatives within insurance and/or professional services environments. This role will support multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, partnering closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and leadership groups to drive execution and deliver measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when needed, and a proactive approach to planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee delivery of multiple concurrent projects and workstreams aligned to organizational priorities
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and execution plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integration partners, and third-party providers to drive successful delivery outcomes
  • Manage project planning, task coordination, dependencies, resource alignment, and execution activities using established PMO standards and methodologies
  • Support delivery efforts across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project environments
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate communication and status reporting across stakeholders ranging from end users to executive leadership
  • Help shape and define workstreams, operating independently while escalating issues appropriately when needed
  • Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Support overall governance, documentation, and project reporting activities

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience within insurance, financial services, or professional services environments
  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering business and technology change initiatives
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on with execution activities when needed
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Microsoft Project, Teams, or similar platforms
  • Interest in/Exposure to AI-enabled productivity and operational efficiency tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Insurance industry knowledge including claims, underwriting, or policy-related initiatives
  • Experience supporting systems modernization, integration, or process improvement projects
