Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to support a high-visibility federal client. The ideal candidate is a versatile and independent technologist with strong problem-solving abilities, experience working across complex codebases, and the ability to contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.

You will work in a collaborative Agile environment, contributing to system enhancements, application development, data integration activities, and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications in support of mission-critical federal systems.
  • Work across front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and performant code.
  • Analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and deliver enhancements with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, analysts, architects, and QA to support high-quality software delivery.
  • Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
  • Support data workflows, integration processes, and system modernization efforts.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the stack and provide timely resolution.
  • Stay current with modern development practices, frameworks, and technologies.
Core Qualifications (Required)
  • 5+ years of hands-on software application or systems development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in both procedural and object-oriented programming, including familiarity with common design patterns.
  • Experience working within large, complex codebases spanning the full technology stack.
  • Ability to complete assignments independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
  • A self-driven learner with a commitment to staying current with emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with server-side technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, Webpack, NPM, or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with functional or event-driven programming (callbacks, streaming, reactive programming, Promises/Futures).
  • Experience working in Linux environments, including shell programming.
  • Working knowledge of Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB), or Elasticsearch, and data pipelines or ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with Common Data Elements (CDEs) or healthcare/medical terminologies.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
