Finance Analyst (IT Finance)

Permanent | Hybrid | Fort Lauderdale / FL

Are you an analytical Finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful business insights? Do you thrive in Excel and Power BI and enjoy partnering with business leaders to improve financial performance?

Our client is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their growing Information Technology organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Junior to Mid-Level Finance professional (3–5 years' experience) looking to build their career in a dynamic enterprise environment supporting technology investments, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Working closely with IT leadership, procurement, and vendor management, you'll help ensure technology investments are effectively managed while providing meaningful reporting and financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partner with IT leaders to develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Review vendor invoices and validate technology-related expenditures
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and variance analysis
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Support zero-based budgeting and driver-based forecasting initiatives
  • Analyze technology spending and help classify Capital (CapEx) versus Operating (OpEx) expenditures
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and financial reporting
  • Monitor budget performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Assist with financial modeling and ad hoc analysis for IT projects
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management to improve cost transparency
  • Ensure financial data integrity and support audit and compliance activities

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or IT finance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial modeling
  • Experience building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reviewing invoices, budgets, and financial reports
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting an IT organization or technology department
  • Exposure to software licensing, cloud costs, infrastructure, or technology budgeting
  • Experience with Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB)
  • Driver-based forecasting experience
  • ERP financial systems experience
