This position reports to:
VP, Regional Business Line Manager - Induction Motors
In this role, you will support product maintenance, technology design, and development initiatives aligned with business growth and cost reduction objectives. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and contributes to the maintenance, design, and development of Motors and Generators (>500 hp). Based in the United States, this position plays a key role in delivering innovative solutions for Above NEMA (A-NEMA) platforms.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Motion Division in the US.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Provide lifecycle technical support for existing and new Above NEMA (A-NEMA) product offerings
  • Collaborate with Local Business Lines (LBLs) and Modification Centers on lifecycle maintenance and product modifications
  • Support senior and mid-level R&D engineers in the development of new Motors and Generators tailored to regional market requirements
  • Collect, review, and analyze engineering data, technical documentation, test results, and reports
  • Create concept and detailed design drawings using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo

Qualifications for the role
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0-5 years of experience in rotating machinery design and development or application of Motors and Generators

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in product application or development of Motors and Generators
  • Working knowledge of NEMA, IEC, CSA, and IEEE standards
  • Experience with finite element analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation)
  • Familiarity with Lean Product Development methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
