Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Audio Visual Consultant - Onsite for a 3 month contract position with a Global Professional Services Firm located in New York, NY.
This role will provide comprehensive support for all media-related activities, including videoconferences, streaming, webinars, and other events requiring high-quality audio/video setups. The position involves supporting major offsite events, and the ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving a range of technical issues related to AV systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and assist in day-to-day support and maintenance of the firm's video conferencing and telecom systems
  • Test all video conferencing rooms on a weekly and or daily basis based upon daily meeting schedules
  • Perform basic set up and break down of daily hosted meetings that require audio/video resources
  • Provide 3rd level support for help desk tickets related to videoconferencing
  • Troubleshoot production issues of videoconferencing including Zoom Video Conference and Crestron conference room systems, Biamp audio systems, etc
  • Work with vendors, networking and security groups to resolve systems issues
  • Install, configure, maintain and support systems worldwide
  • Manage and support online collaboration services (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex etc)
  • Manage and support online collaboration services such as webinars, webcasts, multi-site VDC setups, etc
  • Ensure availability of the firm's online collaboration services
  • Manage, plan, design, install, test, deploy and support audio video systems used during major events
  • Provide support during events to ensure all required services are available to participants
  • Maintain the highest possible level of quality and reliability for audio video services during major events
  • Maintain good relationships with colleagues from other offices
  • Ensure correct utilization of available resources and availability of online collaboration services to both internal and external participants
  • Perform basic to mid-level Infrastructure repairs and escalate high level hardware related incidents to 3rd level support teams
  • Handle Audio and Video editing responsibilities and familiarity with multiple video and audio formats (H.264, MOV, MPG, MP4, MP3, WAV. Etc.)
  • Work with outside clients with supporting audio and video conferences
  • Participate in all firm-wide IT initiatives

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 7 years of experience working with Audio Video systems and providing support in a professional services environment over the phone and in person
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the Firm
  • Demonstrates a proactive, hands-on approach with a strong willingness to actively engage in day-to-day tasks and drive initiatives forward
  • A self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service

Pay range: $49.40 - $59.40 per hour
