Summary:

Flatter, Inc. (Flatter) is seeking detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Accountants to join our team in St. Louis, MO supporting the USDA. This role will provide accounting and financial support for programs related to the USDA and their loan systems. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting financial audits.


Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Prepare, examine, and maintain accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports in alignment with USDA loan program requirements.

โ€ข Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal standards.

โ€ข Monitor and track loan-related financial transactions, including disbursements, repayments, and adjustments.

โ€ข Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis for USDA-related programs.

โ€ข Support audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial data.

โ€ข Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational accounting policies.

โ€ข Utilize USDA loan systems and internal accounting software for reporting and recordkeeping.

โ€ข Collaborate with program managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.

โ€ข Train Accountants on bankruptcies, loan restructures, acquisitions, and acquired property acquisitions.

Qualifications
