Job description

Local manufacturing facility with strong global ties producing high grade premium amino acids for the food and pharmaceutical industry has an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant. Qualified candidates must have Accounts Payable (AP) and Purchase Order (PO) experience with the ability to utilize integrated mid-tier accounting software. Experience with purchasing, inventory, and sales/use tax is preferred. Candidates must have solid communication skills, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a professional manner. Must be able to work effectively with multiple levels of supervision and with confidential information. An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related subject is strongly preferred with a minimum of two (2) years of business experience, preferably in a medium to large manufacturing environment. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered. This is a non-exempt hourly position and wage is commensurate with experience and education.
