Job description

Position Overview
A Business Reporting Analyst II will be responsible for assisting and guiding the general business reporting requirements that support multiple cross functional business teams with a key focus on Planning, Merchandising, and some Leadership teams as well. This position will be the primary SME for all Burlington business reporting solutions whenever business users require assitance with their reporting concerns, system access issues, business tools, troubleshooting, and a variety of related tasks. A Business Reporting Analyst II will assist in mentoring and developing the skills of all Reporting Analyst I's and will take the primary lead when developing new reporting solutions for business users.
A Day in the Life
Duties and Responsibilities
Mentors with Reporting Analyst I's to create new reporting and dashboard solutions focused on high standards for timeliness and accuracy while meeting or exceeding the business needs.
Set a high standard of accountability for self & others, always display good corporate citizenship and support for company initiatives, and seek to lead others by your own example.
Work with Reporting Analyst I's to deliver a high standard of customer service whenever directly or indirectly assisting business users that are seeking support through the BRG email communication process.
Accurately Review IT UAT requests for validation service on all approved reports and tools as directed. Ensure that test plan details are followed and provide adequate written and visual documentation for each test plan scenario presented during the competition of each UAT.
Delivers accurate estimates for size and level of effort required to complete projects that are presented to BRG for future development.
Work with Reporting Analyst I to ensure the delivery of a well executed translation of business requirements into functional reporting changes.
Serves as a liaison between the Business & Leadership communities and the IT organization to provide technical direction and instruction to the IT team to ensure the timely & accurate delivery for projects requested by users.
Work with Reporting Analyst I as needed, to learn & support the development for any unique reporting solutions and tools approved by leadership.
Develop and maintain a functional working knowledge for all corporate reporting solutions used by business users and leaders through our assigned area of responsibility therefore assuming the role of SME when assisting members of cross-functional teams.
Develop and maintain compliance with all established Burlington reporting standards, including formatting, numerical expressions, naming conventions, etc. This for all Templates, Training materials, QRC's , SOP's , notifications, etc.
Seeks ongoing opportunities to increase exposure to business processes and increase job knowledge to facilitate continuous improvement and increased business acumen.
Set a high standard of accountability for self & others, always display good corporate citizenship and support for company initiatives, and seek to lead others by your own example.
Assists in the training and development of teammates and ensures that the team is well prepared to perform and deliver a high standard of performance at all times.
You'll Come With
To be Successful you should Possess Extensive Knowledge & Experience with:
Merch Planning Systems
MicroStrategy BI or equivalent
Business Reporting
Building Dashboards
Advanced knowledge MS Office tools like Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
Retail Systems - Merch Planning, RMS, PO Mgmt.
Other (helpful not required) - VBA, Access, SQL, DAX
5+ years Experience in retail positions (eg. Merch Planning, Buying, Reporting, Analysis, or equivalent)
Preferred Skills / Abilities
