Job description

Job Summary:
Microsoft AI is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead execution across Advertising Measurement initiatives. The role focuses on delivering reliable and scalable measurement solutions that impact advertiser decision-making, requiring collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Software Engineers.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Drive execution for Measurement programs:
โ€ข Translate PRDs into actionable execution plans across conversion tracking, attribution, cross-channel measurement, viewability, and third-party measurement integrations.
โ€ข Coordinate cross-functional teams:
โ€ข Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Privacy stakeholders to ensure alignment, unblock issues, and deliver on commitments.
โ€ข Lead program execution and delivery:
โ€ข Run core program routines including planning, dependency management, risk tracking, status reviews, and executive communications.
โ€ข Shepherd releases end-to-end:
โ€ข Oversee development, quality validation, launch readiness, and post-launch monitoring for measurement features and platforms.
โ€ข Define and drive success metrics:
โ€ข Partner with Product and Engineering to identify meaningful success metrics for measurement solutions, and ensure telemetry and reporting are in place to track progress and outcomes.
โ€ข Ensure data quality and reliability:
โ€ข Drive solid practices around event pipelines, telemetry, data validation, and system observability to ensure accurate and trusted measurement.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
โ€ข 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Preferred:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
โ€ข 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
โ€ข 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to translate PRDs into shipped outcomes across multiple engineering teams and systems.
โ€ข Solid expertise in dependency management, risk mitigation, planning, and release execution.
โ€ข Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level updates.
โ€ข Experience working closely with Engineering Managers and Software Engineers in highly technical environments.
โ€ข Solid technical fluency with event pipelines, telemetry systems, data quality validation, and large-scale data processing.
โ€ข Experience with advertising measurement, conversion tracking, attribution, experimentation, or analytics platforms.
