Job Summary:
Onsite in Raleigh, NC
We are seeking an experienced Power Automate Desktop Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power Automate Desktop (PAD), Power Automate Cloud Flowsand enterprise integration patterns.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture
  • Design end-to-end automation solutions using Power Automate Desktop and Power Platform.
  • Create high-level and low-level solution designs for complex automation initiatives.
  • Define automation architecture frameworks, standards, and reusable components.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Develop scalable, resilient, and maintainable automation solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Power Automate Desktop Development
  • Lead the implementation of attended and unattended RPA solutions.
  • Establish development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
  • Review and optimize PAD workflows for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Implement robust error handling, exception management, logging, and monitoring.
  • Solve complex automation challenges involving desktop applications, web applications, legacy systems, and virtual environments.

Power Platform & Integration
  • Architect solutions utilizing:
    • Power Automate Desktop
    • Power Automate Cloud Flows
  • Design integrations with:
    • Microsoft 365
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Dynamics 365
    • Azure Services
    • REST and SOAP APIs

Governance & Security
  • Define and implement Power Platform governance frameworks.
  • Establish Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
  • Ensure solutions comply with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
  • Define environment strategy, ALM processes, and deployment standards.
  • Implement auditing, monitoring, and operational support processes.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Stakeholder Management
  • Conduct automation assessments and discovery workshops.
  • Translate business requirements into technical architecture solutions.
  • Present solution designs and recommendations to stakeholders and executives.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, developers, and support teams.
  • Mentor developers and technical teams on Power Platform best practices.

DevOps & Lifecycle Management
  • Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
  • Promote solutions across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Monitor automation performance and recommend continuous improvements.

Technical Requirements
  • Hands-on experience or architectural knowledge in any one of the RPA Technologies: Blue Prism, UiPath or Automation Anywhere
  • Expert knowledge of Power Automate Desktop.
  • Strong experience with Power Automate Cloud Flows.
  • Deep understanding of Power Platform architecture.
  • Experience with Dataverse and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Power Apps development and architecture expertise.
  • Experience with AI Builder and intelligent document processing.
  • Azure Active Directory / Entra ID.
  • OAuth 2.0, SSO, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Security, compliance, and governance best practices.
  • Azure services and cloud architecture concepts.
  • Azure DevOps.
  • GitHub Actions.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solution packaging and deployment automation.

Soft Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical senior stakeholders.
  • Strong background in consultative solution selling or internal technical consulting.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate (PL-500), Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
  • Willing to travel on a need basis
