Our nationwide Financial Services client is seeking an experienced DevOps / Release Engineer to support enterprise application delivery, release management, Microsoft Fabric administration, and environment governance. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring application changes are deployed securely, efficiently, and consistently across multiple environments while maintaining governance, security, and operational stability.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys owning release processes, CI/CD pipelines, deployment governance, and Microsoft Fabric administration within a large-scale Microsoft ecosystem.

What You'll Do

DevOps & Release Management

  • Own and manage enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Coordinate and execute scheduled production releases and emergency deployments.
  • Manage the complete release lifecycle from development through testing and production.
  • Ensure application deployments follow established change management and governance processes.
  • Continuously improve release automation, deployment reliability, and operational efficiency.

Environment Management

  • Administer application deployments across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.
  • Promote application code through each stage of the software development lifecycle while ensuring controlled, auditable deployments.
  • Maintain environment integrity, deployment quality, and operational stability.

Microsoft Fabric Administration

  • Create, configure, and administer Microsoft Fabric workspaces.
  • Manage workspace governance, organization, permissions, and security.
  • Support deployment pipelines, capacity management, and workspace performance optimization.
  • Partner with development and analytics teams to support Microsoft Fabric platform operations.

Security & Governance

  • Manage user access, permissions, and role-based security.
  • Enforce segregation of duties and governance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and deployment controls.
  • Support audit readiness and change management processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Build & Release, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise release management.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Fabric workspaces and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience managing application deployments across multiple environments.
  • Strong understanding of source control using Git.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Knowledge of access management, role-based security, and governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Fabric administration experience.
  • Power BI administration or deployment experience.
  • SQL Server knowledge.
  • Azure Pipelines and YAML pipeline development.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, etc.).
  • Experience supporting enterprise application deployments within regulated environments such as Financial Services.
