Quality Process Services (QPS)Measurement TechnicianLocation: Midland / Odessa, TX
Schedule: 5 Days On / 2 Days Off (Local Position)Position SummaryQuality Process Services (QPS) is seeking a Measurement Technician to support oil and gas production operations in the Midland/Odessa area. This is a local 5/2 position responsible for maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing measurement equipment to ensure accurate custody transfer and production reporting.
Candidates with gas chromatograph experience are strongly preferred, but experienced measurement technicians without chromatograph experience are encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot oil and gas measurement equipment.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on LACT units, meter runs, transmitters, flow computers, pressure and temperature devices.
  • Calibrate and verify flow measurement systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and maintenance on gas chromatographs (GCs) when applicable.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and instrumentation issues affecting measurement accuracy.
  • Configure and maintain flow computers and communication equipment.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Document calibration records, maintenance activities, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and customer procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of oil & gas measurement experience.
  • Experience with gas chromatographs (GCs) preferred.
  • Experience with flow computers (ROC, OMNI, ABB, or similar), liquid and gas measurement systems, LACT units, meter proving, and pressure, temperature, and flow instrumentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in field environments.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
