Acutronic is looking for a Quality Engineer I to support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring product and process compliance across manufacturing operations. This role drives quality assurances, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Customers to reduce defects, improve process capability, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Quality Engineer I Your Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and final inspection
  • Define acceptance criteria aligned with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Support implementation of risk-based controls (FMEA, Control Plans, APQP elements where applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with QMS requirements and regulatory/customer standards
  • Lead and/or support root cause analysis using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Manage and drive closure of Nonconformances, RMAs, and Corrective Actions
  • Support containment, corrective, and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
  • Support supplier quality activities, including supplier qualification and performance monitoring, managing supplier corrective actions (SCARs), and resolving incoming quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation control and record retention
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure design for quality and manufacturability
  • Provide training and guidance on quality processes and requirements
  • Support calibration and measurement system management
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Industrial/Process Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • At least one years of related aerospace, defense, or engineering industry experience, required
  • Additional training or specializations in quality assurance, management and analytics, preferred
  • Training and experience with IPC standards for Electronic manufacturing and assembly, preferred
  • Experience with Government Contract flow downs including DFARS, FARS, and DPAS, preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experienced in project management as well as documentation practices, preferred
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and AS91000, preferred
