What You Will Do:

  • Set up and operate threading and cutting machines used for manufacturing of stock and contract parts.ย 
  • Cuts and threads tie rods, cuts tubes and pipe, cuts / shears various bars, angles, punch holes in angles, cradles, cradle bars, type 500 shell pipe for all departments as per contract requirements.ย 
  • Thread / Cut personnel will be assigned the responsibility to operate the tube bend machine.ย 
  • Personnel operating the tube bender will also be responsible for running the (2) Burr Oak tube cutters in automatic mode.ย 
  • All reasonable efforts must be made to keep these machines operational while the tube bender is being utilized.ย 
  • Maintains current physical inventory data, as instructed, of spacing tubing and tie rod stock and various angles and bar stock for Material Control Department.

Minimum Requirements:

  • GED or High School diploma
  • Read and work off of blue prints
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to use and read measuring equipment (ie. tape measure)
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to work well with others

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform repetitive tasks such as bending, stooping and reachingย 
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
