Quality Technician - Milgard Windows & Doors | A MITER Brands Company
Comp Range: $22.42 - $25.00 (depending on experience)
Shift Differential: $2.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Swing Shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Join a Team That Builds Quality into Everything We Do
Milgard Windows & Doors is seeking a Quality Technician to join our 500+ team-member window and door manufacturing plant. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring our window and door products meet rigorous quality standards and remain compliant with the AAMA certification program.
MITER Brands-home to Milgard, MI Windows & Doors, and PGT Innovations-is one of the nation's largest manufacturers of vinyl windows and patio doors. We're proud of our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, and we're looking for team members who share that mindset.
What You'll Do:
As a Quality Technician, you'll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring every window and door meets the highest standards. You'll support new product launches and ongoing quality initiatives, making a real impact across our production lines.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily mandatory QA tests as outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS) manual
    (examples include butterfly test, weld test, sill drainage)
  • Conduct Start-to-Finish audits using theQuality Hawk systemvia a company-provided tablet, following QMS-defined frequencies
  • Verify production processes are being performed correctly and consistently
  • Support and help implement quality policies and procedures outlined in the QMS manual
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Basic math skills and comfort working with measurements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to use basic testing and measuring equipment
    (e.g., tape measure, caliper, thermal thermometer, Keyence Optical Comparator preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher) is preferred
  • Certified quality inspector
  • Flexibility to work hours based on department needs
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
