Job description

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Sitter/MHT is responsible for the direct, continuous observation of patients. She/he intervenes as necessary to prevent physical harm to patients who might be at high risk for injuring themselves or others due to confusion, delirium, selfdestructive behavior, or high likelihood of falling. She/he ensures a safe environment, monitoring the patients� emotional condition, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Sitter/MHT works with other in the health care team to provide Activities of Daily living and assure prompt intervention to maintain patients� safety. Those that are Certified Nurses Assistants will provide ADLs, Vital Signs and provide for mobility.
EXPERIENCE: Hospital patient care experience within the last 3 years.
LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)
EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
