Pay: Base Wage starting at $17; increased based on experience
Incentive Eligible Position: Yes
Essential Functions:
- Actively engages with patients providing introduction of self and others involved in patient's care. Communicates effectively with other staff and family.
- Assess clients' needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals. Develop plans to improve their clients' well-being.
- Positively impacts the patient experience at Nevada Regional Medical Center through enhanced clear, respectful, and effective communication skills, assisting the nurse in managing pain and other patient care needs.
- Provides accurate documentation of patient information in the electronic medical record.
- Help coordinate mental health care services.
- Respond to crisis situations such as child abuse.
- Escort patients and assist in the patient assessment.
Skills Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
- Ability to identify those who need help.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
- Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 12 hours or longer per day.

Qualifications:
- CPR within 90 days of employment, renewed bi-annually.
