The Montana Hospital Association (MHA) is seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Education & Events to lead the vision, development, and delivery of educational programs and signature events that inform, connect, and support Montana's healthcare community. From statewide conferences to professional development opportunities and emerging learning platforms, you'll help shape the experiences that keep healthcare professionals informed, engaged, and connected across the state.
What You'll Do:
Lead MHA's statewide education and events strategy while creating exceptional learning experiences for Montana's healthcare community.
In this role, you will:
  • Develop and execute MHA's long-term education strategy across the organization.
  • Design innovative professional development opportunities using in-person, virtual, hybrid, and on-demand learning formats.

Lead planning and execution of MHA's premier conferences, leadership meetings, and educational events.
  • Build meaningful relationships with healthcare leaders, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify emerging healthcare trends and translate them into relevant educational programming.
  • Grow sponsorships and education-related revenue opportunities that support MHA's mission.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen member engagement, marketing, and organizational impact.
  • Lead and develop education staff while fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Use data and member feedback to continually improve programs, events, and the overall member experience.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Education, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in education program development and implementation, event management, association management, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years planning and leading large-scale conferences, meetings, or educational events from concept through execution.
  • Minimum two (2) years managing program or event budgets, including sponsorship or partnership revenue.
  • Minimum two (2) years supervising employees or leading cross-functional project teams.

Travel Requirement:
  • This position requires in-state travel (approximately 5-8 times per year; for 2-5 days), with additional travel as needed in and out of Montana.
