THE JOB:
At ARIA, the Casino Porter plays a key role in ensuring every guest experiences a pristine, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere. This position upholds the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across the casino and public spaces while providing attentive, friendly service.
THE STARTING PAY: $21.6134 per hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Sweeps and removes all wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from floor
  • Removes scuffmarks and drink spills
  • Cleans up biohazard areas
  • Cleans slot chairs, polishes their bases, and then returns chairs to proper position
  • Vacuums entire assigned stations, moving chairs and other objects to ensure thorough cleaning
  • Removes trash, replaces missing ashtrays, and wipes out and cleans all ashtrays and trash cans
  • Ensures all equipment is returned to department and all malfunctioning equipment is reported
  • Replenishes supplies when necessary
  • Responds to and resolves guest challenges in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms required
  • Six (6) months of previous experience as a porter or in a comparable cleaning/janitorial position within a casino or public areas preferred
