Target Caseload: Flexible (Typical contractors hold 20–25 client sessions/week)

Licensure: Licensed Clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD) OR Registered Associates (PCA, MFTA) in OR/WA

About Beyond Eating Recovery

Beyond Eating Recovery is a group practice of dedicated helping professionals committed to enhancing the mental well-being of adolescents, adults, and families throughout the greater Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA areas. Our practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, a non-diet philosophy, and the Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach to food and body image. We create an inclusive, welcoming environment for clients while supporting independent clinicians in offering high-quality outpatient care.

Contracting Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate, alignment-minded therapists specializing in eating disorders and body image concerns to partner with Beyond Eating Recovery as 1099 Independent Contractors. In this role, you maintain full independent clinical authority over your schedule, client caseload, and clinical approaches, while benefiting from our established brand presence, administrative support, and steady client referrals.

Practice Infrastructure & Support

  • Client Referral Stream: Active marketing, search engine presence, and centralized intake screening to help build and maintain your desired caseload.
  • Turnkey Admin & Billing Support: Full back-office assistance covering fee collection, insurance credentialing/billing, and administrative inquiries so you can focus entirely on client care.
  • Flexible Compensation: Competitive revenue distribution model per billable session (typical earnings range between $3,000–$6,000+ monthly, depending on contractor caseload and rate structure).
  • Furnished Office & Telehealth Stack: Access to fully furnished treatment rooms in Portland, OR, alongside secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth tools.
  • Clinical Supervision for Associates: Complimentary, state-approved clinical supervision for Registered Associates in Oregon and Washington as a regulatory benefit while contracting with the practice.
  • Peer Community & Consultation: Optional access to weekly peer case consultations and ongoing professional development in specialized eating disorder and trauma care.

Scope of Services

  • Clinical Care: Provide outpatient individual, family, or group therapy to clients navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, and related mental health challenges.
  • Independent Documentation: Maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant clinical records and treatment plans within the shared EHR system.
  • Multidisciplinary Care: Autonomously collaborate with clients' external care teams (physicians, dietitians, psychiatrists) when clinically appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted license in Oregon and Washington (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, PsyD/Ph.D.) OR Registered Associate status (Professional Counselor Associate, MFT Associate, CSWA).
  • Independent Business Entity: Operates an independent business, holds individual professional liability insurance (1M/3M), and maintains a secure home workspace for remote telehealth services.
  • Clinical Framework: Strong alignment with (or commitment to implementing) weight-inclusive care, Intuitive Eating, and HAES® principles.
