Kentuckyiana Community Based Services collaborates with local partners, schools, and community agencies to improve behavioral health outcomes. Role Description Behavioral Health Therapists (LPCA, CSW, MFTA, LPCC, LCSW, and LMFT) serve clients as 1099 contractors, providing direct therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. This full-time hybrid role is based in Louisville, KY, with a combination of in-person sessions in community or office settings and some work-from-home responsibilities such as telehealth sessions, documentation, and treatment planning. Day-to-day tasks include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing individual and family therapy, and using evidence-based interventions to address behavioral and emotional needs. Therapists maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinate care with community partners and other providers, and participate in case consultations as needed. Contractors manage their schedules, uphold professional and ethical standards, and contribute to a supportive, trauma-informed environment for all clients.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Psychology and behavior sciences, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice.
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis or similar evidence-based behavioral interventions.
  • Demonstrated Interpersonal Skills, including empathy, active listening, and the ability to build trust with diverse clients.
  • Background in Working With Children and families in clinical or community-based settings.
  • Active licensure or credential as LPCA, CSW, MFTA, LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in Kentucky, or eligibility to obtain appropriate licensure.
  • Competence in maintaining clinical documentation, treatment planning, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor, manage a full-time caseload, and adapt to a hybrid in-person/remote model.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and experience with diverse populations is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and basic computer skills for electronic health records and communication.
