Catallia Mexican Foods is looking for an experienced Warehouse Technician Sit- Down Forklift Operator with expertise in food manufacturing to join our team!
3rd Shift / 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. / Monday - Friday
*To meet operational needs, occasional biweekly Saturday overtime will be part of our standard schedule.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on position and will require that the individual be responsible for all aspects of the shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions within the plant. This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment through participation in corporate programs.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (PLEX) to track inventory, generate reports, and streamline operations.
  • Confirms that the documentation for incoming shipments is in accordance with the established guidelines.
  • Visually inspects and counts inbound loads to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Works with production to ensure materials are available in a timely manner.
  • Loads and accurately documents outbound shipments of finished product.
  • Interact with a wide variety of drivers, delivery personnel, and contractors.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of dock and storage areas.
  • Rotates inventory according to first in, first out guidelines.
  • Navigate PLEX the Warehouse Management System.
  • Operation of the electric sit-down forklift.
  • Operation of electric pallet jack.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.
  • Adhere to operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate a 25' box truck within campus boundaries.
  • Perform additional duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift and be able to operate the forklift for approximately 90% of the work shift.
  • Must have at least 1 year of warehouse experience, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and loading and unloading trucks.
  • Must be proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and bend throughout the assigned shift.
  • Must be comfortable working in a loud and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable performing repetitive movements and tasks.
  • Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations (order picking, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks)
  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to work alone or in teams.
  • Commitment to process improvement.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated.
