Job description

Job Summary
Monitors, Supervises, and Coordinates the overall function and performance of the Metrology Inspectors and Dimensional Inspectors. The Metrology Supervisor oversees the group to ensure that the appropriate training of personnel, measuring performance of work done by Inspector, and efficient and effective measurement methods are applied to all inspections within the department. The Metrology Supervisor works closely with both internal and external customers. This position reports directly to the Metrology Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Train, problem solve and set up programs for various metrology equipment, along with organizing the equipment workload and priorities.
2. Maintain an Inspection Schedule for all work going through the department.
3. Help expedite inspections when required.
4. Maintain Dimensional and Metrology Inspector's schedule to ensure timely completion of activities.
5. Complete resource planning daily for Metrology and Dimensional Inspectors.
6. Develop, implement, and train on inspection methods and techniques.
7. Coordinate's training plans for Metrology Inspectors and Dimensional Inspectors on equipment, processes, and procedures.
8. Create, implement, and train on processes and procedures with coordinated efforts of all members of the metrology lab.
9. Creates purchase orders for necessary Metrology equipment
10. Perform D.O.E Response dimension inspection, First Article Inspections (FAI) (Modified and Full), as well as Capabilities Studies and Gage R&R's. Review the results with appropriate personnel.
11. Manage the internal Metrology portion of RMA/RGA process.
12. Calibration management including scheduling, and performing of Metrology Equipment, Gage, Scale and Shadow Box Calibration.

โ€ข College Degree or 4+ years Metrology experience
โ€ข GD&T Certified
โ€ข Leadership Certificate or successful completion of a Leadership course
โ€ข Statistical Certificate or Successful completion of a Statistical course.
โ€ข ISO 17025 Certificate or successful completion of an ISO 17025 course.
โ€ข Greenbelt (Lean Six Sigma)
โ€ข Certified Internal Auditor
