Overview

Summary:

The Budtender is a sales-driven role responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while actively driving revenue. This position requires strong product knowledge, compliance awareness, and a proactive approach to upselling and cross-selling. Successful candidates are motivated by hitting goals and contributing to overall store performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
  • Verify customer identification and ensure all transactions comply with Nevada regulations
  • Educate customers on cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, and accessories
  • Provide personalized recommendations while actively upselling and cross-selling products
  • Meet and exceed daily, monthly, and yearly sales goals, including:
  • Minimum average order value (AOV) targets
  • Minimum units per transaction (UPT) goals
  • Conduct sales with a focus on increasing basket size and maximizing customer value
  • Accurately process transactions using Dutchie POS system
  • Always follow all company **standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restock needs to management
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately
  • Stay up to date on current promotions, products, and pricing
  • Delivering a high level of customer service that reflects the Green Dispensary brand

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with intake, labeling, and organization of inventory as needed
  • Support curbside/express and delivery teams when required
  • Communicate with team members and management to improve workflow and customer experience
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Compliance & Training Requirements:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with METRC regulations and product tracking
  • Stay current with all required OSHA safety trainings
  • Maintain proficiency in Dutchie POS system
  • Adhere to all Nevada state and local cannabis laws and company compliance protocols
  • Participate in ongoing product and sales training

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, bend, and carry products

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass background check (as required by Nevada cannabis regulations)
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Proven ability or willingness to meet performance-based sales metrics
