Job description

Job Summary

The Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist conducts routine and special END procedures, including but not limited to EEG, EMG/NCV, AFT, EP, INM, and LTM, following established department protocols. The role models Methodist Le Bonheur's Mission, Vision, and Values while providing compassionate care to patients.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for and perform routine END procedures. Execute routine and special END tests in accordance with department protocols. Ensure all equipment is clean and in working order. Perform additional job functions as assigned or requested.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). 1–3 years of related work experience (minimum 1 year preferred, 2 years required).

Licenses and Certifications

Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required). Skills and Abilities Basic mathematics: multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, and fractions. Basic computer operations using the Windows operating system. Positive interpersonal skills with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff. Good balance and coordination.

Physical Demands

May require scheduled nights, holidays, and weekend on‐call availability. Physical activities include crawling, climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. May exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally or up to 25 lbs. frequently. Requires close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent invasive and non‐invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. Supervision No supervisory responsibilities are assigned to this position.
