We are seeking a proven Lead Measurement Technician with strong experience in liquid measurement, meter proving, and field operations to support and strengthen our liquid measurement services in Artesia, NM.


In this role, you will provide field leadership and technical oversight for liquid measurement operations, supporting a team of technicians responsible for LACT units, custody transfer systems, and measurement services across multiple customer sites. You will be accountable for measurement accuracy, operational execution, safety compliance, and team performance in a fast-paced field environment.



What You'll Do

  • Lead and perform meter proving operations using ball provers, piston provers, and associated systems 
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain LACT units and flow measurement equipment (Coriolis, turbine, PD, ultrasonic) 
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination for field technicians, including scheduling and work prioritization 
  • Ensure accurate execution of measurement services, including calibration, verification, and documentation 
  • Review and validate proving reports, meter factors, and field data to ensure accuracy and compliance 
  • Serve as a technical expert and escalation point for complex field and customer issues 
  • Support training, mentorship, and development of field personnel 
  • Maintain accountability for equipment readiness, maintenance, and safe operation 
  • Ensure compliance with AGA, API, GPA standards and company safety protocols 
  • Communicate with customers to ensure service quality, responsiveness, and satisfaction 
  • Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and reliability
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
  • 2+ years of hands-on liquid measurement or field measurement operations experience, including leading, supervising, or mentoring technicians
  • Strong working knowledge of LACT units, meter proving, custody transfer systems, and flow measurement equipment
  • Familiarity with measurement software (PCCU, ROClink, TestIt, Flowgate, or similar) 
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements (AGA, API, GPA)
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; Active CDL-A license strongly preferred


Work Schedule, Environment, & Travel 

  • Field-based role with regular exposure to industrial environments and outdoor conditions 
  • Daily travel to customer sites with local driving required 
  • Ability to work extended hours, on-call rotations, and travel as business needs require 
  • Frequent physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and handling equipment (up to 50 lbs) 
  • Must be able to work safely outdoors in all weather conditions year-round
