Requirements:

  • Previous AMR/AMI Meter Installation experience and/or Field Technician experience is preferred but We WILL TRAIN!
  • Previous electrical experience, training or knowledge is preferred
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Customer Service skills โ€“ must be able to interface with Field Representatives & Customers in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to read and understand maps
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently
  • Must pass the following pre-employment requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Drug Screen
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and around moving mechanical parts.
  • Normal abilities to perform stooping, crawling, reaching, twisting/standing.
  • Ability to walk, sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely for extended periods of time
  • Normal functioning senses, good eyesight, color vision, field and depth perception.
  • Environmental Requirements:
  • Environment will be inside and outside conditions.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, fumes, dust, noise and water.
  • Must be willing to work extended and irregular hours.
  • Ability to adjust to inclement weather changes.
  • Work around all types of animals.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify any issues or problems and elevate to the Supervisor on each occurrence
  • Accurately document the completion of all work performed
  • Perform the daily task of field deployment and route saturation
  • Physically able to lift equipment or other objects weighing 25 pounds or more
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment, including walking, climbing, stooping & driving 8-10 hours per day in all types of weather conditions.

  • Microsoft Windows knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production, deadline driven environment
  • Deliver exceptional safe quality AMI meter installations
  • Ability to accurately record information in a Windows based handheld computer
  • Self-motivated, can work independently with technical support as needed
