Position Overview
As a Coax & Fiber Installation & Repair Technician, you will install, repair, and maintain both coaxial and fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers in the Columbus and Cleveland, OH areas. This hands-on role is ideal for technicians who take pride in their workmanship, value safety and accuracy, and want to grow within the broadband and telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities
Perform residential installations and repairs for video, internet, and phone services using both coax and fiber technologies
Install and terminate fiber optic cabling, including drop installation and in-home setup
Troubleshoot and repair coax and fiber systems using appropriate meters and diagnostic tools (e.g., signal meters, OTDR, light meters)
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and job site safety
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily service goals
Represent Triage Partners professionally with customers, providing excellent service and communication
Work in various weather conditions and at heights as required
Use job management systems and mobile applications to document completed work accurately
What You’ll Need
Your own Viavi 620 meter (or similar) – preferred
Fiber tools and test equipment (fusion splicer, light meter, or similar) – preferred
Local to the Greysonville, MD area – required
Your own truck or van (required)
Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance
Ability to work safely, efficiently, and to industry standards
Flexible availability to meet changing project schedules
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working at heights and in indoor/outdoor environments
Basic computer proficiency
