Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Precision Metal Fabricator role based in Grabill, IN. The Precision Metal Fabricator will interpret drawings and measurements, cut and shape metal components, and assemble custom fabricated products to exact specifications. Daily tasks include operating hand tools and power tools, grinding and finishing edges and surfaces, and inspecting work for accuracy and quality. The role also involves safely moving materials and finished products within the shop, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following all safety procedures and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong metalworking skills, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components with precision.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, clamps, files, and measuring tools for detailed fabrication work.
- Experience with grinding and related finishing processes to prepare and refine metal surfaces and edges.
- Skilled in the safe use of power tools commonly used in metal fabrication, such as saws, drills, and grinders.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or similar material-handling equipment, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to safety protocols in a shop environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and work with PPE in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, machining, or a related trade is preferred but not required for motivated learners.
- Must have a good Attitude and take orders from the manager
