What does a day-in-the-life look like?

  • Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the press area to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Monitor standardized work is being followed.
  • Establish production standards and monitor individual tech performance to ensure area goals are met.
  • Plan ahead changeovers to minimize disruption of production.
  • Work as a liaison between Press Tech's and Tooling Tech's to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare and present presentations to large and small groups.
  • Conduct effective evaluations and monitor the skill level of the press room Product Techs
  • Conduct training for Teammates.
  • Gathering of information and auditing of daily reports
  • Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.

What does success look like?

  • Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve plant goal of zero accidents.
  • Work with maintenance to ensure all equipment has proper P.M. and is safe to operate.
  • Enforce all area and plant safety procedures.
  • Work closely with the quality area to create and maintain systems that ensure quality products.
  • Communicate all potential quality concerns.
  • Enforce all area and plant quality procedures.
  • Maintain all customer and TS requirements.

What will you bring: Academic & Experience

  • High school degree / diploma
  • 2 years of post-high school education or combination of education and manufacturing experience
  • Experience with automated manufacturing, stamping equipment, and press tooling. 
  • Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience
