The primary role is to accurately sort, identify, and categorize various ferrous and non-ferrous metals to prepare them for recycling and further processing. The candidate will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and will maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Metal Identification and sorting: manually inspect and sort scrap metal in proper categories (e.g., aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, high-temp alloys) using visual inspection, magnets, or handheld analyzers.
  • Contaminant Removal: remove non-metallic materials (plastic, wood, debris) from metal scrap to ensure high-quality.
  • Keep workspace clean and free of hazards by sweeping, shoveling scrap, and cleaning up debris.
