The Role

Summary / Primary Role
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping inventory while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. This role supports daily warehouse operations by handling materials, preparing shipments, operating warehouse equipment, and following all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
What You'll Do
Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, inspect, package, and ship products using handheld scanners and warehouse systems.
  • Load and unload materials safely while preparing products for storage and shipment.
  • Pull work orders and organize inventory throughout the warehouse.
Inventory & Equipment
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and report discrepancies.
  • Package steel coils, prepare railcars for loading, and assist with warehouse material handling.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Safety & Team Support
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and report incidents immediately.
  • Participate in cross-training, meetings, and other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or related experience required.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or metals warehousing is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, Trackmobiles, or handheld RFID scanners is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Compensation & Schedule Details
  • Base Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
