National Sheet Metal Sales Representative
Centrally located in Houston, Texas
$100,000–$150,000+ (DOE)

In-office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Travel Requirement: Approximately 10%
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Sheet Metal Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This in-office role focuses on outbound sales across the United States, from New York to Washington and down to Texas. The ideal candidate will be a proactive "hunter" with a strong work ethic, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships in the steel industry.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Sales: Initiate and manage outbound telephone and email communications to prospective clients nationwide, focusing on lead generation and customer acquisition.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our flat-rolled steel products, including specifications, applications, and benefits, to effectively communicate with clients.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Sales Strategy: Identify and target potential clients, develop
tailored sales strategies, and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in the metals or fabrication industry.
Industry Knowledge: Experience with flat-rolled steel products is highly preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and present technical information clearly.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes, negotiation techniques, and market dynamics.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
