What are metal insulation workers?

Metal insulation workers, also known as mechanical insulators, are skilled tradespeople who install and maintain insulating materials on pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems to control temperature and prevent energy loss. They often work with materials such as fiberglass, foam, or mineral wool, and cover them with sheet metal to protect the insulation and system components. Their work is important in construction, manufacturing, and maintenance of buildings and industrial facilities.
