Industrial Insulator

Build Quality Products with Skilled Craftsmanship

Location: Charlotte, NC
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Industrial Insulator to support manufacturing operations in Charlotte. In this hands-on role, you'll cut, fit, and install insulation on equipment and piping while helping ensure quality, safety, and production standards are met.

If you have experience fitting and installing insulation in a manufacturing environment and take pride in quality workmanship, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Review travelers, prints, and insulation bills of material (BOMs)

  • Verify insulation materials are available and ready for installation

  • Confirm vacuum integrity using established leak-test procedures

  • Cut, fit, and install insulation on shells, heads, and piping systems

  • Apply adhesives, bands, and jacketing according to specifications

  • Complete required documentation, including vacuum readings before and after insulation installation

  • Support quality standards through accurate documentation and workmanship

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Follow all EHS and PPE requirements

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2-3 years of experience fitting and installing insulation in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience working in high-mix production environments

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-10 hour shift

  • Ability to regularly lift materials up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

  • Commitment to following all EHS procedures and PPE requirements, including respirator use

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with frequent standing, walking, and material handling

  • Regular use of insulation materials, hand tools, cutting tools, and installation equipment

  • Required use of PPE, including respirators, gloves, sleeves, and other protective equipment

  • Exposure to fabrication and production shop conditions

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
