Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a Class 4 CNC laser engraving machine safely and efficiently
  • Produce phenolic tags, engraved metal labels, equipment identification tags, signage, and promotional materials
  • Read and interpret work orders, layouts, drawings, and customer specifications
  • Prepare materials for engraving including measuring, cutting, cleaning, masking, and organizing production runs
  • Perform machine setup, alignment, calibration, and routine maintenance
  • Verify product dimensions, engraving quality, and accuracy prior to release
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and staging completed products for delivery or shipment
  • Maintain organized inventory of engraving materials and consumables
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures related to laser operations
  • Support general shop operations and other manufacturing-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating CNC equipment, laser engravers, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Experience with engraving software, CAD layouts, or vector graphic programs preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to read tape measures, drawings, and production layouts
  • Familiarity with manufacturing tools, shop equipment, and production workflows
  • Ability to safely lift materials and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Reliable attendance and positive team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to learn machine programming and production processes quickly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Able to work under pressure and prioritize between competing demands
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively change priorities as needed if urgent needs arise
  • Able to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time with minimal supervision
