Metal Fabricator Starting at $21.75

2nd Shift 2:30PM – 1:00AM (Shift Premium


Location: Greenville, Michigan

Reports to: Fabrication Supervisor

Marvel Refrigeration is looking for a Metal Fabricator, who excels in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for the manufacturing process, and has the personal drive to meet project timelines in this hands-on role.

Expected Hours of Work:

These positions are full-time. The generally scheduled workdays are Monday through Thursday, plus overtime when required (Friday & Saturday if needed).


Position Overview:

This position requires an experienced, energetic, and detail-focused individual who wants to be a part of a growing team and company. As a Metal Fabricator, you will have hands-on involvement at the very beginning of all manufactured products while maintaining the highest quality levels for our brands.


Responsibilities:

  • Select proper program and load required tooling
  • Select proper material.
  • Select proper tooling needed and install the tooling to specification.
  • Ability to set-up and run complex bend and forming operations on a Press Brake.
  • Select proper program and adjust Laser head(s) for proper cutting
  • Select proper material from part program
  • Inspect parts ran against the drawing specifications.
  • Complete production and related records as required.
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Basic mathematical computations required to complete production records and to accurately use a tape measure.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a fabrication environment.
  • Read and understand blueprints, tape measures, calipers, and work instructions.
  • Ability to use standard hand tools including air powdered hand grinder.
  • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for up to three hours without a break and twelve hours with breaks, lift weights of up to 50 pounds from ground level to chest height, push/pull up to 100 pounds and handle large quantities of component parts on a repetitive basis. Bend, sit and stand repeatedly.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrated hand-eye coordination necessary for high volume repetitive assembly operation.
  • Work shifts and hours mandated by management.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
