Job Responsibilities:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program (college or university), preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
  • Programming/scripting skills are required (Python, SQL, JavaScript, DAX, Power Fx).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Database/query skills are required (SQL preferred).
  • Experience building Power Apps canvas apps and Power Automate flows.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with C#/.NET Framework is an asset.
  • Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software) is an asset.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation by evaluating plant-floor technologies and workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and operational gaps.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps to digitize plant-floor processes.
  • Develop Power Automate workflows for automated notifications, approvals, escalations, and adaptive card interactions in Teams.
  • Bridge multiple platforms into a unified digital ecosystem, integrating apps, databases, workflows, and dashboards so that a single data entry propagates automatically.
  • Lead training and change management for newly deployed digital tools, including documentation, user guides, and stakeholder communication.
  • Iterate on deployed applications based on end-user feedback to continuously improve functionality and UX.
  • Help document and maintain a "single source of truth" for engineering data (SharePoint/Teams structure, versioning, metadata).
  • Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and standardization from manufacturing systems for reporting and analysis.
  • Support Industry 4.0 initiatives by digitizing manual processes (forms, approvals, trackers) into structured digital workflows.
  • Design and coordinate meetings and presentations.
  • Organize and maintain project customer and internal information.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the O.H.S.A.
  • Follow and ensure the company's procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
