Job description

The Analytics & Applied AI team within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) of the Global Private Bank is responsible for unified data products - data products that cut across multiple core data domains - and for the federated data mesh platform that produces and distributes them. The team operates a multi-pod delivery model spanning core analytics, applied AI, data engineering, visualization, and regulatory analytics, all underpinned by a federated data mesh and its distribution points.

As a Data Mesh Platform Product Owner within the Chief Data & Analytics Office you will hold the internal product and business ownership of the firm's federated data mesh platform and its distribution points - Snowflake, Starburst, and Databricks - as they serve data producers and consumers within the Global Private Bank.

You will own the internal product strategy and business outcomes of how these distribution points serve data producers and consumers, and coordinates closely with the firmwide Snowflake CDAO product team for approvals and firm-wide enhancements.

A central mandate of this role is to improve and accelerate the data producer onboarding experience to the data mesh. Success means measurably reducing time-to-onboard and ultimately accelerating the creation of unified data products that span multiple core domains.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Own the internal product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the federated data mesh platform serving the Global Private Bank
  • Serve as the business owner for the platform's distribution points (Snowflake, Starburst, Databricks) from a producer and consumer enablement perspective, coordinating with the firmwide platform teams for approvals, enhancements, and implementation.
  • Drive a step-change improvement in the data producer onboarding experience by simplifying, streamlining, and accelerating onboarding, including self-service registration of Analytical Data Products (ADPs)
  • Establish and deliver against measurable targets, such as reducing producer onboarding time and accelerating time-to-creation of unified data products
  • Partner with engineering and scrum leads across pods to translate platform strategy into delivery
  • Define and track KPIs and OKRs for platform adoption, onboarding velocity, and data product creation throughput
  • Manage senior stakeholders across CDAO, the lines of business, and the firmwide platform teams
  • Provide thought leadership on federated data mesh architecture and the distribution model that encourages sources of record (SORs) to own and curate their data

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive financial services experience commensurate with an Executive Director level role (12+ years) within data and analytics, asset and wealth management, private banking, capital markets
  • Deep experience owning data platforms, data mesh, or enterprise data products as a business or product owner
  • Proven track record simplifying complex platform onboarding and developer experience while driving measurable adoption
  • Excellent executive stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands-on familiarity with modern data platform technologies, including Snowflake, Starburst, and Databricks
  • Experience operating within a federated data mesh model, including SOR-owned, domain-aligned data product curation
  • Experience defining and operating self-service onboarding and registration capabilities for data producers
