Description Group Fitness Instructors - (Instructor IV) THPRD Fitness is seeking experienced and qualified Group Fitness Instructors to plan, instruct, and lead a variety of group fitness classes aligned with current certifications and areas of expertise. This role supports community-wide participation through inclusive, engaging, and well-structured fitness programming. Group fitness classes are offered indoors and outdoors at recreation centers and park locations.

Programs serve patrons of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests. Instructors support individual participant needs while managing group dynamics and demonstrating safe, effective exercise techniques. Patron Safety & Class Environment Instructors support a safe and positive experience by: Designing and adjusting programming to align with participant abilities and skill levels Demonstrating proper form and safe exercise techniques Creating a welcoming, respectful, and encouraging class environment Schedule & Availability Typically scheduled 2-29 hours per week Shifts may occur between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM Weekday and weekend availability, including Saturdays and Sundays Part-time employees work variable hours and may work fewer than 1,560 hours per year Minimum Qualifications Current group fitness certification (AFAA, ACSM, ACE, NASM, ISSA, Zumba, etc.) Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience Experience working with diverse populations Preferred Qualifications Bilingual: Spanish (pay incentive) Formats (Dependent on Certification) Cardio / Aerobics Pilates Strength Training Barre HIIT Tai Chi Zumba Not currently recruiting for Yoga Availability Mornings Days Evenings Weekends Click the job title to view the full description: Group Fitness Instructor (Instructor IV) The hiring range for this position is $30.68 to $34.60, based on experience and internal equity
