Summary

DLA Piper is seeking an Of Counsel to join our Litigation group, Business and Commercial subgroup. This position is open to our Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, DC, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Short Hills, and Wilmington offices.

Bar Admission

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying


Experience

  • Minimum of8years' experiencein M&A post-closing indemnity disputes and/or representations and warranty insurance disputes

  • Experience with M&A transaction documentation and damages calculations


Responsibilities

  • Communicates with clients.

  • Supervises associates.

  • Disputes:

    • Collaborates with experts.

    • Assists with fact development and depositions.

    • Reviews and drafts discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.

    • Develops case strategy.

Desired Skills

Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, are a must. The ability to multi-task and prioritize is also required. Strong project management skills and attention to detail is critical to success.

Physical Demands

Pay Transparency

The firm's expected hiring range for this position is $400,000- $525,000per year depending on the candidate's geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
