Your Impact as an M&A Analyst
As an M&A Analyst reporting directly to the M&A Director, you will perform many of the key elements of an engagement. You will be responsible for analyzing acquisition target financial and operational performance, maintaining department pipeline tracking tools, assisting with due diligence coordination, and communicating insights to senior and executive management. Your activities will include analyzing acquisition information, building models, drawing conclusions, and preparing and communicating reports and presentations.
Please note that this is an onsite role in our Birmingham, Alabama office.
Your Impact Will Include:
  • Developing Valuation Models: You will support the Business Development department by developing, understanding, and adapting valuation models for target opportunities.
  • Analyzing Growth Opportunities: You'll prepare financial and market analysis of specific geographic areas to determine the attractiveness of growth opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Projecting: You will forecast acquisition target results and apply valuation methodologies to provide executive management with financial projections, recommended valuations, and key investment metrics.
  • Providing Business Insights: You'll develop profitability and key statistic analyses of revenue mix, labor ratios, client mix, and demographics to support acquisition opportunities.
  • Monitoring Performance: You will monitor, forecast, and interpret the financial and operational performance of acquisitions to determine variations from expected results.
  • Supporting Due Diligence: You'll support the Business Development department by maintaining tracking tools and participating with other corporate departments during the due diligence process.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related analytically-focused field.
  • A strong analytical background in analyzing statistical, operational, and financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on manipulating large data sets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills when responding to inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • The ability to make recommendations to management based upon your review of data.
  • Work onsite in our Birmingham, AL office.
