The Deal Services Operations Manager partners with Deal Services leadership to translate practice priorities into coordinated operational execution. This role supports business performance management, reporting and analytics, WIP/AR and billing follow-up, resource and headcount tracking, leadership communications, onboarding support, and key practice initiatives. The manager serves as a central operational point of contact for assigned leaders, helping anticipate upcoming needs, organize priorities, create polished deliverables, coordinate across internal functions, and drive follow-through on time-sensitive initiatives that support growth, profitability, risk management, and the talent experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner strategically with assigned Deal Services leaders to support execution of short- and long-term practice priorities, including growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

  • Operate in a self-directed manner by anticipating leader and practice needs, identifying operational gaps, and recommending practical solutions that improve execution, communication, data quality, and the delivery of client solutions.

  • Partner with internal functions, including Finance, Resource Management, Talent, Marketing, IT, Legal, Billing, and other Consulting support teams, to develop, implement, and maintain efficient operating processes and practice support routines.

  • Develop, maintain, analyze, and improve recurring Deal Services reporting and KPI packages that support growth, profitability, resource planning, operational decision-making, and leadership visibility, including financial results, revenue and pipeline, utilization, headcount, leverage, WIP, AR, realization, billing goals, project-level margins, and related performance metrics.

  • Provide direct operational support for time-sensitive, confidential, and leader-driven requests, including meeting preparation, action item tracking, follow-up communications, and coordination across stakeholders.

  • Coordinate recurring leadership forums, partner/owner communications, training communications, newsletters, and meeting materials, including agendas, slide decks, talking points, and follow-up actions.

  • Develop polished work products from open-ended leadership requests, including analysis summaries, presentation materials, communications, tracker updates, and decision-support documentation.

  • Create and execute project plans for assigned initiatives; revise plans as priorities change, manage risks and issues, identify corrective actions, and drive projects to completion within expected timelines and scope.

  • Support new service line, solution, technology, and process deployments by coordinating with practice leaders, technical counterparts, internal support functions, and vendors as needed.

  • Provide ongoing operational support, oversight, and process adherence for assigned Deal Services initiatives, policy and procedure updates, systems, and recurring practice management activities.

  • Support onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer for Deal Services Operations team members and practice stakeholders, helping team members understand key operating processes, systems, reporting, and leadership expectations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting management or leadership-level stakeholders in a professional services, consulting, operations, finance, or related business environment.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Resource Management, Talent, Marketing, IT, Legal, Billing, or other internal support teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize ambiguous requests, create project plans, track action items, and drive work to completion with limited oversight.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams; ability to create polished reports, presentations, trackers, and written communications.

  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to work with financial, operational, resource, headcount, WIP, AR, pipeline, and performance data.

  • Ability to understand business results and financial concepts and translate data into concise insights, risks, recommendations, and follow-up actions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to draft leadership-ready communications, facilitate meetings, and clearly articulate objectives, decisions, and next steps.

  • Ability to navigate a matrixed environment, build relationships across functions, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Experience supporting change management, process improvement, system implementation, training, onboarding, or operational transformation initiatives.

  • High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to produce accurate, organized, and audience-ready deliverables under deadline pressure.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $102,800 - $176,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
