Position Summary: The Visual Merchandising Associate is responsible for the implementation of visual merchandising strategies that will continue to fuel business growth within the SIG Experience Center, along with the SIG SAUER Academy. This role will leverage relationships with the Manager, Visual Merchandising and store leadership to ensure strategy and execution are seamlessly integrated into the store experience. This position collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Product Management, Product Development, and retail partners.

FLSA: Exempt

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with communicating priorities and business-related information to effectively ensure alignment.
  • Implement the visual merchandising strategy for the SEC. Collaborate with and support leadership to execute on company product placement and planogram execution. Serve as the store visual merchandising subject matter expert and partner.
  • Help plan and support seasonal merchandising by working with the team to make sure products and services are available. Assist with promotions and displays by reviewing ads and sales plans and assist in reviewing sales performance.
  • Assist in identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and current customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on pricing, promotion, and sign execution.
  • Help to solve and identify critical gaps or pain points facing store logistics, merchandising, and signing.
  • Help in other parts of the team regularly, work with and relays information to other departments regularly.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of visual merchandising experience, preferably in a sporting goods or firearms retail environment and a minimum of 2 years of directly relevant work experience in a Retail Marketing, Visual Merchandising, or Brand Development position.
  • Cursory knowledge of Visual Merchandising standards and store process.
  • Demonstrated experience creating detailed strategies and execution plans for visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Ability to create and maintain partnerships across the organization.
  • Consistent knowledge of competitive landscape and retail best practices both in store and virtually.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
  • Must complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner and require little to no supervision to identify additional tasks.
  • Adept at analyzing data trends to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
