OVERVIEW
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Merchandising Coordinator to join the Merchandising team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. The Merchandising Coordinator partners with the Lead Merchandiser to support the execution of departmental strategies and business objectives across Mainline and Outlet Leather Goods. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Planning, Production, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Regional Commercial teams to execute seasonal assortments from concept through launch. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about product, consumer trends, and the fashion industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development and execution of seasonal assortments from concept through market launch.
  • Maintain assortment tools, line plans, product information, and seasonal merchandising documents.
  • Ensure data accuracy across merchandising systems including PLM, JOOR, and D365.
  • Assist in developing seasonal product strategies by category, silhouette, fabrication, color, pricing, and assortment architecture.
  • Coordinate product samples and maintain sample accuracy throughout development, ensuring timely handoff and communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Prepare merchandising materials for milestone meetings, line reviews, assortment presentations, and leadership reviews.
  • Track seasonal product lifecycle milestones and proactively communicate updates across cross-functional teams.
  • Support go-to-market activities, including product setup, launch readiness, and seasonal storytelling.
  • Conduct competitive market research, including pricing, product assortment, fashion trends, promotional activity, and consumer insights, and provide recommendations to support merchandising decisions.
  • Analyze seasonal business performance through hindsight reporting to identify opportunities and inform future assortments.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, product analysis, and merchandising initiatives as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of merchandising, buying, planning, or product management experience, preferably within fashion, accessories, or consumer goods.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and assortment performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with PLM, JOOR, D365, or similar merchandising systems is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Ability to take initiative, actively listen, and incorporate feedback.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The compensation for this position ranges from $26.44 - $28.85 (hourly). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate's relevant skills and experience.
