What is a merchandiser coordinator?

Merchandiser Coordinators are professionals responsible for overseeing and organizing the display and promotion of products in retail stores. They work with suppliers, store managers, and sales teams to ensure that merchandise is presented in an appealing and strategic way to maximize sales. Their duties often include planning product layouts, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating promotions, analyzing sales data, and ensuring brand consistency across locations. Merchandiser Coordinators play a key role in driving sales and enhancing the customer shopping experience.

How does a merchandiser coordinator typically collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to ensure product availability?

As a Merchandiser Coordinator, you play a crucial role in bridging the gap between sales teams and supply chain operations. You’ll regularly communicate with sales representatives to understand product demand and promotional plans, while also working closely with supply chain managers to track inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries. This collaboration ensures that products are stocked appropriately in stores, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are essential to manage these cross-functional relationships successfully.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a merchandiser coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Merchandiser Coordinator, you generally need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in retail or merchandising, often supported by a relevant degree or diploma. Familiarity with inventory management systems, planogram software, and Microsoft Office Suite is typically required. Job description

E-Commerce Site Merchandising Coordinator

About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated E-Commerce Site Merchandising Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced online retail environment. This is a digital merchandising role focused on how products appear and perform on our website — it is not a visual or in-store (brick-and-mortar) position. There are no physical displays, fixtures, or store-floor duties.

You'll combine buying support, online site merchandising, and product data management to keep our digital assortment accurate, well-presented, and optimized for sales — working with cross-functional teams to manage product information, support online launches, and improve the customer experience.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Irving, TX, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., at $19.50 per hour. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and can manage large sets of product data accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Support buying and merchandising through vendor coordination, product setup, and item merchandising.
  • Collect and organize product assets (UPCs, descriptions, attributes, pricing, images) for accurate listings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate product launches.
  • Audit website content to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or missing details.
  • Analyze product and sales performance data to support buying and merchandising decisions.
  • Maintain product data integrity across internal systems (PIM/ERP) and update listings as needed.
  • Use advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros, reporting) to manage, verify, and analyze data.
  • Monitor online merchandising for an accurate, engaging shopping experience.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, data manipulation, macros, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail managing large volumes of product data.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Availability to work full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, E-Commerce, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 1+ years in e-commerce, merchandising, buying support, or retail operations.
  • Experience with PIM/ERP systems (Acumatica a plus).
  • Knowledge of e-commerce SEO and site merchandising best practices.
  • Experience in footwear, apparel, or retail analytics.

Note: Excel is an essential function of this role and proficiency will be evaluated during onboarding.

Benefits

Medical, dental, and vision insurance; HSA/FSA; life insurance; Paid Time Off; employee discounts; and 401(k) with 3% company match.

Why Join Shoebacca?

You'll be part of a collaborative team whose work directly shapes how customers discover and shop our products — with hands-on experience across e-commerce operations, merchandising, product management, and retail analytics.

Position Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. | Location: In-Person, Irving, TX | Compensation: $19.50/hour
