Join our Independent By Design Team!

Full-Time Residential Coordinator

Independent by Design (IBD) is an alternative to traditional adult foster care that allows flexibility to provide services tailored to the individual. These services are designed to adapt to the increasing or decreasing needs of individuals who live in their own homes. Services available include 24-hour emergency staff response with technology and supplemental support in areas including budgeting, menu planning, grocery shopping, assistance with medical appointments, and additional areas as identified.

The Independent by Design (IBD) Residential Coordinator provides client-centered guidance and technology-based support to individuals with disabilities who are living in their own homes, to build clients' skills to live independently and achieve the highest quality of life possible through creative care. The Independent by Design (IBD) Residential Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services, ensuring compliance with regulations, through the training and scheduling of Direct Support Professionals. Through effective leadership and collaboration, this role promotes independent living, program excellence, and the overall well-being of those served.

Qualifications

Must meet one of the following:

  1. Baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health AND one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
    OR
  2. Associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health AND two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
    OR
  3. Diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution AND three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and olderor equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
    OR
  4. Minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities. AND four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).

Supervisory experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, current car insurance, meet insurability standards, pass a background check, and have an internet-enabled device. Proficiency in speaking and writing in the English language is required.
