POSITION INFO: Distribution Center Lead position

Works to promote vision and values by supporting supervision in all distribution activities to support operational requirements and initiatives.  This position is to aid supervision in coordinating all processes and activities related to receiving, stocking, replenishment, order processing, repackaging, returns processing, and shipping/transportation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Aids supervision in safe operations of the warehouse overseeing: receiving, storing, repackaging, and shipments of products by directing the day-to-day utilization of space, equipment and personnel to support: a) effective safety awareness; b) customer service and order fill requirements; c) inbound cycle time goals; d) inventory accuracy; e) efficient DC operations; f) quality assurance of operations; g) facility housekeeping; h) achievement of facility financial goals    
  • Maintains receiving processes to promote safety, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Unload trucks and vans with appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Checks incoming freight for accuracy and posts to paperwork.
  • Convert valves as needed for Interline, Lowe's, Menards and international orders.
  • Cycle counting - as required.
  • Maintains equipment in accordance to established procedures.
  • Train associates to properly, safely, and efficiently perform their jobs.
  • Must work from written and verbal instructions.
  • Assists in schedules.
  • Will supervise as needed.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years experience working in a Distribution Center.  Experience safely operating PIVs.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Experience safely operating PIVs.

Past supervisor experience is a plus.
