Distribution Center Team Member – Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator/Material Handler)

Join our team! Menards Distribution Center is hiring for Warehouse Associates (Forklift Operator/Material Handler) who are responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of our Distribution Center.

Now hiring FULL TIME and PART TIME for:

· Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator) - 1st shift (7AM until 3:30PM)

$19.25/HR Part-time or $21.05/HR Full-Time

· Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator) - 2nd shift (4PM until 12:30AM)

$21.25/HR Part-time or $23.05/HR Full-Time (Shift Premium included)

· Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator) - 3rd shift (10:30PM until 7AM)

$21.25/HR Part-time or $23.05/HR Full-Time (Shift Premium included)

*Flexible part-time scheduling available!

Ideal for students, stay-at-home parents, retirees, and anyone seeking part-time employment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow Menards safety policies and procedures
  • Safely operate forklift or other machinery
  • Work cooperatively and productively with other Team Members under little supervision
  • Load trucks according to cubic weight, size and characteristics
  • Provide outstanding service with attention to detail and completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintain condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
  • Perform safety check of powered industrial vehicle prior to operation
  • Locate product in warehouse using manifest or scanning system
  • Use hand-held scanning equipment to add or subtract product from inventory
  • Record quantity of product actually loaded onto manifest system
  • Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with computer inquiry screens
  • Transport product from production/receiving areas using powered industrial vehicle
  • Additional duties assigned by Distribution Center Management

Physical Demands:

  • Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Environment can include temperature fluctuations (hot/cold), noise, dust, and uneven walking surfaces.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; 70 lbs. occasionally.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required
