Position Overview
The Memory Care Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of a specialized memory care program serving residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. This role ensures the delivery of person-centered care while overseeing staff development, regulatory compliance, and program excellence.
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the memory care program.
- Manage care services for approximately 49 memory care residents.
- Supervise, mentor, and train staff on dementia care best practices and behavioral support.
- Develop and maintain individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dining, and activities teams to enhance resident well-being.
- Build strong relationships with residents' families through compassionate communication.
- Monitor program quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred, or equivalent healthcare/administrative leadership experience.
- Dementia Care or Alzheimer's Care Certification strongly preferred.
- Leadership experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, or senior living.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually
